Team Culture

It is hard to think of Team Culture in just one area or within one group. I am part of many teams here at EPS. There is the Tech Ops Team that I lead that includes Jack and Ellie. There it the Tech Teaching Team that is much larger and includes Jonathan, Kate, Mas, Mo, and Sarah. There is the Tech Leadership team (just made that up) that is really just me and JB. There is the Ops team that includes Sam, Casey, Vickie, Cheryl, Tina, Stephanie and Jordan. There is the Electric Vehicle Team that primarily consist of me and a dozen or so students. There is the Boys Varsity Soccer coaching team that I am not as much a part of any more but still looped in on big conversations and discussions about players. There is of course the larger EPS community.

The team, however I want to focus on the most is a team and bond that has been forming over the past year or so and that is the EPS Infrastructure Team (just made that one up too). This team consists of Tech Ops and Facilities. It is a group that hasn’t always seen eye to eye but in recent years has become a strong group that works together as if all under the same roof.

Like with how I showed or expressed my Core Competencies with a sort of narrative or story, I will be doing the same for Team Culture. This story will include a lot of personal learning, as the Hyper-V story did, but will also include a lot of teamwork that was pivotal in completing the project.

The full story can be found at the link below, but there is also some key highlights that can be found just below that.

  • Seeks out diverse opinions of others for guidance

I sought out diverse opinions for guidance during the Informacast system upgrade. When faced with integrating Informacast with our phone system, I collaborated closely with Jannell to troubleshoot and resolve issues. I also engaged with Jordan and Matt outside of formal meetings, discussing potential features and improvements during our cross-training sessions and informal brainstorming. This […]

  • Presents/shares knowledge during staff meetings

I shared knowledge during staff meetings by leading the deployment of the Informacast system and demonstrating its features and benefits. I provided updates on our progress, explained the technical aspects of integrating the system with our existing infrastructure, and showcased new capabilities during drills. I also facilitated cross-training sessions, where team members like Jordan, Matt, […]
